Yes, mixing comedy, rap and steampunk is possible and when done by this guy it is pure genius!
Born in Norwich, Paul Alborough now lives in Brighton and performs, facilitates workshops, speaks at steampunk conventions, he is also a character in comic books and all around funny man. He performs solo or in theatrical acts such as Come In To My Parlour,  and has been headliner on Steampunk World’s fair and Waltz on the Wye.

It all started when British rapper MC Elemental was approached to participate on a project to display how hip hop would sound through different time periods. He created a character for himself called Professor Elemental, not knowing how popular it will become. The project never come to life but the character stuck.




His hit “Cup of brown joy” instantly had over milion views and resulted in famous scuffle with colleague hip hoper Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer. The feud was hilarious and making up was even more, resulting in video Fighting Trousers which was an instant hit. They appeared in each others videos making steampunk community laugh their corsets of. And yes, steampunkers and goths do have a sense of humor, that is why Professor Elemental is so popular,




He is also freelance workshop facilitator and claims he can get anyone writing, recording and performing a rap, no matter the age or ability. And there is a reason to believe him, he has been doing so for more than five fears now.




This mad professor also performs at small events, not just big ones, he will come to weddings, parties and birthdays and create a special song or verse if he feels like it, and he usually does. He loves to make people laugh, give him ten minutes and everybody will have laugh related belly aches.
