Kate Lambert, better known as Kato is British born and Portland based designer, model and entrepreneur. As a daughter of a british artist Terence Lambert and small school headmaster, she grew up behind an old 13th century cemetery in Victorian rectory, she “blames” this for her love of all things Victorian and artistic talent and drive and also for her love for the nature, spending time in the forest and reading books and fairytales.
She describes herself as “mother hen”, overly caring person and Mori girl during her free time.
She started small, selling her designs and dread hair falls on Myspace, modeling them herself. Designing uniforms for Doctor Steel’s fanclub she was president of, Army of Toy Soldiers she was noticed and designed uniforms for band’s stage performers. This launched her into steampunk community spotlight.
And soon she founded Steampunk Couture, first steampunk clothing company in the world.
In 2007 she moved to America and started broadening her business venture.
She is described as steampunk idol, modern pin-up legend and supermodel of steampunk, but it is not all about her looks, she is frequently requested speaker at steampunk conventions, inventor of Vex suit (named after friend and model Ulorin Vex) and smart business lady.

On Valentine’s day in 2013 she started steamgirl.com, worlds first steampunk pay-per-view erotic photography site. It was so insanely anticipated that it crashed due to so much visitors in first half of hour. She uses herself as the platform for the site but loves working with other models, professional and amateur alike. And now girls from all over the world can send and submit steampunk erotica photoshoots to be featured on Steamgirl.

In 2014 she consolidated all of her businesses under the label Lambee Co. and working with small but dedicated team she assembles fashion and photography labels and other models sites.
We are looking forward to see what aces she has in her Victorian sleeves for us in the future.
